I am a member of the Washington State University
women's rowing team. I am very fortunate to be apart of this program as
it was created to fulfill the requirement of equal funding for men's and
women's sports. As a child I went from sport to sport, never finding one
that I really loved, until my senior year in high school when I tried rowing.
I fell in love with the sport and it was a factor in choosing where I attended
college. This is just after one year...I can only imagine the
passion that these swimmers and divers feel for the sport they have been
participating since they were little kids. Now, they must chose whether
to stay at Dartmouth and give up on some of their dreams or follow their
passion to another school. Don't place that burden on these students.
Thank you for your time.
