HANOVER, N.H. — Parents hope to raise $5 million in an attempt to save Dartmouth's swimming and diving teams. The college announced last month the teams will be eliminated because of budget cuts. Eliminating the teams will save the athletic department $212,000 a year. The cuts are part of collegewide budget reductions totaling $10.6 million over the next two years, officials said.
