HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth College men's and women's swimming teams swept
Vermont Sunday at Karl Michael Pool.
The Big Green men won, 133-43, while the women were, 156-84, winners.
Louis Fidel led the charge for the Big Green, as he had a pair of first-place
finishes in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.86 and in the 400-yard
intermediate with a mark of 4:32.19. Yale Fillingham was also victorious in the
200-yard freestyle with his time of 1:45.00. In the 100-yard butterfly, Grant
Chang won with a mark of 54.34.
For the women, Kate Brodie won the 3-meter diving event with a score of 238.90.
In the 400-yard intermediate, Jennifer Kunkel took first with a mark of 4:43.20,
while Cary Telander won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:59.72. Kristin
Simunovich took first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.39 and Dana
Charles won the 100-yard IM with a mark of 1:05.35.
The Big Green teams are scheduled to leave for its winter training trips to
Hawaii on December 12.
