"Last night, Dartmouth's student assembly voted on a resolution opposing the decision to cut the swim teams, announced on Nov. 24, and urged administrators to reconsider it. At a noon forum, nearly 200 students repeatedly questioned the college provost, one of the deans, and the athletic director, and passionately demanded a greater voice and representation in what programs are cut or maintained as Dartmouth looks for $10 million in savings across all of its departments for fiscal years 2003 and 2004."   Boston Globe Article (12/4/02)
