Board of Directors Talk on Lessons Learned Homework
Your group is to prepare a presentation for the company Board of Directors (the class) on the lessons you have learned from doing the simulations. One goal of this exercise to is have the entire class be as prepared as possible to begin the final exam. Your Lessons Learned should meet the following criteria:
It should be in PowerPoint format unless you have my permission in advance to do something else.
It should not cover basic concepts, such as what is leverage or why contribution margin is important.
Topics you must include:
What decisions were key to your success?
What decisions would you do differently next time?
Topics you should include:
What was your strategy? Was it a good one and why or why not?
What markets did you target?
How did you price? Why?
How did you position products? Did you add products? Why?
How did you forecast? Did it work well?
How did you set your production level? Why?
What did you do for TQM? Why?
How did you allocate your marketing dollars? Why?
What did you do with automation? Why?
What was your plan for financing? Did you give dividends or buy back stock? Why?
Each group will present their results in class. Discuss among yourselves how you will present this. You grade will be based upon the content and presentation.
