Homework

You will be assigned to groups of 4.

At the end of Chapter 1, answer Discussion Questions 1, 4, 10.

For question 1, use clear examples.  You can make them up.  For example, give examples of each of the four scenarios using a hamburger stand.

For question 4, give it some thought.  What do you think a CEO does in a typical day?  (Hmm, what do you think Elon Musk does all day?)  It doesn't have to be a CEO.  Identify the manager and describe their day.

For question 10, there are lots of good movies or TV shows to pick from.  In addition to the ones in the book, you might try The Office, Outsourced (the movie), Parks and Recreation, MASH (movie or TV), etc.

I expect you to use terminology and concepts introduced in class and the text.  Describe and elaborate  on your answers.  Do not just give short, bulleted answers.  Add your own critical thinking.

Be sure to use terms and concepts from Chapter 1.

Note: if you are using an old version of the text, be sure you are doing the correct problem.

Because there are three questions you will be tempted to assign one question to each person.  Don't.  It will ensure you get the lowest possible grade.  Everyone should do all three questions and merge the answers taking the best ideas from each.  This is a management course, learn about management while doing the exercise.

Use the homework template from the class web site (do not leave in the < and >'s).

Deliverables:
